Using silicon manganese alloy for steelmaking, the melting points of the deoxygenated products MnSiO æ and Mn ₂ SiO ₄ are 1270 ° C and 1327 ° C, respectively, which have the advantages of low melting point, large particle size, easy floatation, and good deoxygenation effect.
